Concrete

Sealing the concrete in and around your home preserves, protects, and prolongs its life, especially in high moisture, high corrosion (salty) areas like the gulf coast. We’ve all seen broken, chipped, and cracked concrete sidewalks and driveways.  Its all a result of concrete’s natural nemesis, water.  As water and moisture enters the cracks, fissures, and capillaires, alternating warm and cold temperatures can cause the water to expand and contract ultimately affecting the integrity of the concrete.  We’re not just talking about water in the form of liquid or ice, the amount of water in the air, humidity, can also have a negative effect on concrete.

Sealing prevents water from penetrating concrete and also keeps out salt, chemicals, dirt, and plant growth.  Plant growth includes mold, algae, and mildew which is unsightly and discolors pavement.

Lone Star Seal utilizes Rock Steel sealant, which is a clear, deep, penetrating sealer. The sealant forms an invisible barrier that molecularly combines with the substrate while strengthening and consolidating the surface.  The barrier is resistant to moisture, salt, algae, most liquids, and stains while allowing vapor to escape.

Pavers – Enhancement & Sealing

Lone Star Seal paver Pavers are one of the most attractive and distinctive materials for hardscaping and landscape design. They are used for walkways, patios, pool decks, driveways, and as edging. Pavers will provide a long service life in any landscaping design, pool deck, or outdoor area.  Since pavers are made from colored concrete, they degrade over time with similar effects as mentioned above.  Additionally,  pavers have color added to them and with sun, rain, and time the color will fade over time and the color loss is irreversible.

To help the pavers retain their original color and be protected from the elements, you need to seal them.  Lone Star Seal utilizes Rock Steel sealant, which is a deep, penetrating sealer. The sealant forms an invisible barrier that molecularly combines with the substrate while strengthening and consolidating the surface.  The barrier is resistant to moisture, salt, algae, most liquids, and stains.  Sealing the pavers helps retard efflorescence, that chalky white coating that sometimes appears on concrete, particularly colored concrete.

Lone Star Seal will apply Rock Steel sealant in either a natural look or glossy look.  The glossy look sealer will intensify or enhance the color of the paver and give a slight sheen to them without making them slippery.  Protect your investment, Keep concrete pavers looking pristine by sealing them.
